Boston Awaits, at bostonawaits.com, is operated by The Travel Spark Company LLC. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse our guides, contact us or choose to receive our emails. Use our Contact page for privacy questions and requests.
Information you choose to provide
The contact form asks for your name, email address, subject and message. We use those details to handle your inquiry and respond. Please do not send sensitive identity documents, payment details or information about another person unless it is necessary and you are entitled to share it.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address and subscription preferences are processed to send Boston guides and related travel content. Newsletter sign-up is separate from sending a contact message. You may unsubscribe through the link in a newsletter.
Information needed to run and protect the site
Our hosting, security and backup services may process request information such as IP address, browser details, the page requested and the time of a request. These records support delivery, troubleshooting, abuse prevention and security. Contact-form rate controls use a short-lived derived identifier rather than placing your IP address in public content.
Cookies, local storage and travel features
Site features and travel tools may use cookies or local storage to remember necessary preferences, support security or remember whether an interface has been dismissed. A tour search can send the search criteria you enter to the relevant service. Optional external content may make requests to its provider when it is loaded or used. Browser settings can limit storage, although some features may then behave differently.
We do not add a separate advertising or analytics service through this theme. Travel and booking services may have their own storage and tracking practices. Review the provider’s notice before using its service or completing a booking.
Service providers and affiliate links
We use Brevo for email subscription processing and contact-message delivery. Hosting, security, backup and other service providers may process information as needed to perform their functions. They do not receive permission from us to use contact messages for unrelated marketing.
Tour and lodging links may contain affiliate identifiers used to attribute referrals. When you follow a booking link, the destination service handles your interaction under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not collect payment-card information for those bookings or control the provider’s reservation records.
Retention and protection
We retain inquiry information for as long as reasonably needed to deal with the inquiry, follow up, resolve a dispute or meet applicable obligations. Subscription information is kept while you are subscribed and as needed to honor an unsubscribe or suppression request. Security logs and backups follow operational retention cycles; deleted information may remain in protected backups until those cycles complete.
We use access controls and technical safeguards appropriate to the site, but no online service or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can decline to subscribe, unsubscribe from emails, restrict browser storage, and avoid submitting information through optional features. Depending on where you live and the applicable rules, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a copy of certain personal information. Contact us to make a request. We may need information to verify that the request relates to you and may retain information where an applicable obligation requires it.
International processing and children
Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Applicable contractual and other safeguards depend on the service and the relevant data-protection rules. The site is intended for general travel planning and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review it.
