About Boston Awaits
A closer look at a city that rewards curiosity.

For the places between your plans
Boston Awaits is an independent travel publication about Boston, Massachusetts. We help visitors connect celebrated sights with the neighborhoods, public spaces, food and cultural experiences around them.
Our approach is simple: be useful, be specific and leave room for discovery. A good guide should help you decide where to spend your time without pretending that every visitor wants the same trip.
A city with many stories
Boston’s history belongs alongside its present. We aim to make room for waterfront neighborhoods, Black heritage, immigrant communities, public institutions and contemporary culture as well as familiar landmarks.
Our editorial guides offer general planning context. Opening arrangements, travel conditions and provider details can change, so check the relevant venue or operator before making a time-sensitive decision.
How this site is supported
Some tour and lodging links are affiliate links. We may receive a commission when you make an eligible booking. The booking provider sets the price and terms; a link does not mean that we operate the experience or have personally reviewed it.
